5 Must-Have Interior Design Pieces
Everyone has their own style and taste, and our interior and retail designers are here to share theirs. While it’s not easy to choose just a few favorites from a shop full of products curated by an award-winning design team, it is fun. Here are our five favorite Collective retail products and why our team loves these pieces. Stop into our retail showroom and see them for yourself...
Scandinavia Nordic Rug
Hillary Mork, Interior Designer
I love the pattern and the bold contrast of black and white in our Scandinavia Nordic Rug. It’s such a transitional piece that works in many different areas of any home. Depending on your style, you can create and pull off different looks based on the furniture you pair with it.
I have this rug in my living room and it adds a fun twist to my eclectic space. It brings another element of texture into the room and complements any pop of color including my personal color choice: deep greens. If you’re looking for a new rug, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Nesting Petrified Wood Tables on Scandinavian Nordic Rug
Bri Handy, Retail Design Consultant
An admired piece in our showroom and one of my absolute favorites is our brass Ina Statue. It's not only a stunning piece in its simplicity and sleekness, but it's also décor that plays on the heartstrings. If you can combine beauty and meaningfulness in your home, you're not just creating a well-curated space that's pleasing to the eye, you're creating an inviting home that is all your own.
Nesting Petrified Wood Tables
Lisa Yates, Interior Designer
I love the nesting petrified wood tables for two main reasons. One reason is that I always love to incorporate something natural and interesting into a space; always looking to bring the outside in! The petrified wood accomplishes both these things without being too overbearing. The neutral tones in the petrified wood work with just about every color under the sun and incorporate easily into modern and more traditional spaces.
The second reason is that they are amazingly functional. You can keep them nested together in a small area or pull them out and have them stepped and curving around the edge of a sofa. You can split them apart for when you’re entertaining and need more surfaces for cocktails. These are a popular, must-have piece in your mountain home.
Elle Schwab, Interior Designer
I love this chair because it’s a very universal piece. It works in any space and can be showcased in a traditional or modern home. As seen on our site, and showroom, it looks like a more traditional piece, but this chair is completely customizable. Make it into your own personalized piece that fits your style and space. Take the nail heads off to show the sleek lines and add a modern fabric for a modern look. Change the color or size of the nail heads. Select the wood finish; the most popular is a darker stain called espresso. You’re also able to choose your own fabric.
I’ve used the Romney Chair in many design projects and have seen it work perfectly as an occasional bedroom chair or in a living room set with a sofa.

Handle Side Chair
Bri Rasmussen, Interior Designer
I love the clean lines and look of this piece. The built-in handle at the top allows for ease in mobility but doesn’t take away from the design. This chair is also completely customizable. You can change the material to suit any style; mix and match as desired or keep it neutral based on your personal preference. It can come with or without arms, so it’s very versatile. It can be used at a desk, a dining table or – really – as an accent piece anywhere in a home. It can stand out as much or as little as you’d like by changing up the fabric to something bold or by adding nail heads for a more formal, detailed piece.
Clients and customers love the clean lines and simplistic but functional design. I think it works best and is a gorgeous piece to place with a live edge dining table.
